My dad was only 22 years old when he was machine gunned in both legs, in the last world war, his
injuries were horrific, but somehow he survived, he was a fantastic husband and dad, he was always
there for me and my brother, he hardly ever complained, and never asked for much in life, we all
miss him so very much.

I miss you everyday you are always in my thoughts x

Lindsey (Granddaughter) June 25, 2008

I sat beside your bedside my heart was crushed and sore. I tended you with loving care until I could do no more. In tears I watched you sinking and slowly fade away although my heart was breaking, I knew you couldn't stay. Dad there are no more tomorrows for us to share, I know that this is true but how I wish with all my heart for yesterday and you.

Joan Carroll (Daughter) July 6, 2007

You had the very special things that made you very rare, you gave us love and understanding and you were always there. We hold you always in our hearts and there you will remain, to be with us throughout our lives until we meet again.

Joan Carroll (Son-in-law) July 6, 2007
